This March 20 finds us celebrating the Full Moon in Libra and Ostara on the same day! And if that wasn't enough,it's also International Astrologers Day. So- it's a cosmic get down and party day!
The full moon in Libra is a great time to inquire within yourself about the following topics- are you beautifying your surroundings enough? If not, what can you do about it? And it doesn't mean expensive. It can range from buying yourself flowers weekly to finding some cool art that speaks to your soul at a yard sale or thrift store. It can mean decorating the head of your frame drum or hanging a charm from your djembe or darbuka. Or getting your drum a hat to wear when you're not playing it. Have I been in balanced service to others,or am I over giving at the cost of my well being? Meditate on this and journal what comes to you. Are you living your life thru someone else? (This can be a big one for couples,or for parents) Am I in balance about my appearance to others,or am I trying to "people please" by my wardrobe, hairstyle, etc? For Spring Equinox,(also known as "Festival of the Trees",remember in your drumming it's a time of balance and a time of rebirthing/renewing. A resurrection of ourselves,if you will. If you can spend time outside, even if it's just for a little while each day,do that. (I've been drumming on the porch the past couple of afternoons!) Animal totems for this time would be gentle natured ones, and young ones at that. Think bunnies, chicks, doves, baby deer, etc. Crystals to use in ceremony would be rose quartz, light lavender amethyst, light carnelian, and blue lace agate. Ashe & Namaste......till next time!
